Alejandro Argentino Sa\u00fal naci\u00f3 en Tucum\u00e1n en 1927 y adopt\u00f3 el apellido Romay en homenaje a su \u00eddolo futbol\u00edstico de la juventud: Juan Manuel Romay, de Independiente de Avellaneda.
